The Golf Collective Club Rules & Player Guidelines

Dear Players,

We are thrilled to have you join us for the upcoming event, and we want to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following key details:

1. Tee Times and Player Briefing

Tee Times and Groupings: Within 36-48 hours of the event, you will receive an email containing your assigned tee time and groupings. Ensure you check this information to know when you'll be teeing off and who your fellow players are.

 

Player Briefing: A players' briefing video will be sent out the night before the event. It’s essential that all players watch this short video, as we’ll cover important details to ensure a seamless and enjoyable event for everyone.

2. TGC Dress Code

We enforce our own dress code during competition play, regardless of the course. Please follow these guidelines as refusal to comply may result in expulsion from the event and premises.

  • On the Course: Shirts must be tucked in, belts worn, and black socks can only be worn with black shoes.
  • Off the Course: Please refrain from wearing hats indoors, and clean your shoes before entering the clubhouse.

3. Photo Consent

By participating in the event, you grant consent for the use of event photos for social media and marketing purposes. Personal information beyond first and last names will not be shared.

4. Handicapping Rules

Our handicap rules are designed to ensure fairness in our events:

  • Less Than 5 Rounds: 50% of your GA handicap is used (max 18).
  • Less Than 10 Rounds: 70% of your GA handicap is used.
  • More Than 10 Rounds: Full GA handicap is used.

5. Scoring Methods & Mobile App

We will be using the GOLF GENIUS App for scoring. Familiarize yourself with the app before the event to ensure efficient scorekeeping.

6. Tees to Play Off

  • Men: Blue tees unless otherwise stated
  • Women: Red tees

7. Pace of Play

Please maintain a consistent pace and keep up with the group ahead to ensure an enjoyable round for everyone.

8. Carts

If you require a cart, please notify us at admin@thegolfcollective.com.au. Cart payments are generally made directly to the Pro Shop unless otherwise specified.

9. Pro Pin Competition

$5 Entry Per Player: The player whose ball lands closest to the pin on a selected hole wins the prize pool.

10. Novelty Holes

The app will notify you when approaching novelty holes. Provisional shots will not count toward your score on these holes.

11. Golf Course Care

Please rake bunkers, repair divots, and follow any additional course guidelines to maintain the course’s quality.

12. Leaderboard Updates

Leaderboard updates will be paused after the 15th hole to create suspense and excitement for the final few holes.

13. Rules & Penalties

  • No gimmes; hole every putt.
  • Three-minute limit for lost balls.
  • Consult the lowest handicapper in your group for rules clarifications.

14. Ties

In the event of a tie, we will follow the Golf Australia countback rules to determine the winner.

15. Post-Match Presentation

The presentation will commence 15 minutes after the last group finishes to recognize achievements and celebrate the event.

16. Membership Reminder

Guests can join up to two league events without membership. After that, membership is required for continued participation.

17. Code of Conduct – TGC Events

  • Sportsmanship and fairness are expected from all participants.
  • Zero tolerance for cheating, aggressive behavior, or discrimination.
  • Bullying or harassment will not be tolerated.

18. Embracing Fun on the Fairways

Enjoy the game, smile over scores, and remember to have fun!
